Is "Izzie" Returning to Grey's Anatomy?

Paging Dr. Izzie Stevens! Rumors are constantly swirling that Katherine Heigl will reprise her role as Dr. Izzie Stevens. But is it actually going to happen?

Grey's Anatomy fans are so polarized on Heigl's troubled character - you either love her or hate her. So which side of fans will be happy as these rumors are returning?

Well, Katherine Heigl doesn't think Izzie is making a return. The now Rom-Com movie star explained in an interview that it would be a "tough decision" to return, even for the (eventual) series finale.

She discussed with Entertainment Tonight, "I haven't [thought about Izzie] is years. I don't know. I don't know if I would or if I wouldn't. I almost feel like that would almost be distracting again to, sort of, what they've done with that show in the seven years since I left... and what that's become and what it is to the fans now."

While we can't say we disagree with her reasoning, there's no doubt we miss her character since she exited the hit TV during season 6. Love her or hate her, the show isn't the same without her Emmy-winning role.
